About the Department
Accounting is an information system that provides useful information about the financial condition and performance of an organization so that managers and stakeholders such as investors and creditors can make rational decisions. Governments and public institutions are also interested in providing accounting information to increase the transparency of their management activities. Accounting not only trains accounting professionals with an ethical mindset in line with the Catholic spirit, but also operates various programs to foster the talents required by the times. Accounting has introduced a curriculum that combines accounting and information technology to meet the needs of the Fourth Industrial Revolution, and English lectures are offered to acquire the skills needed in the era of internationalization. In addition, Accounting has programs in place to train professionals such as accountants and tax accountants.
Academic Activities
Accounting operates 'Hyunyangje', a preparation class for the Certified Public Accountant and Tax Accountant exams. Every semester, students are selected through entrance exams, and more than 30 students study together. Many graduates of the program have gone on to work as accounting professionals in accounting firms and corporations. Other clubs on campus include the soccer club "FC. ART," basketball club "Basketball," and "Dawn Ringing," a game club.
